Creative Uses for Wine Corks: Transform Your Collection into Unique Keepsakes

When we started drinking wine at home in larger quantities and with enthusiasm, we kept the nicer corks in a small vase, thinking we might find some use for them someday.

Living Room Decor

We found a tall and narrow glass vase, and as we filled it with corks, it became more and more beautiful—eventually turning into one of our favorite decorations in the living room.

Keeping Them as Memories

We started a little tradition: for the more special wines we really enjoyed, we’d sign the corks with a pen. If the wine was part of an important occasion—like an anniversary or housewarming—we’d write that on it too. Over time, we’ve collected these tiny souvenirs that are fun to look back on.

Making Letter Decorations

Whether you want a unique sign for your home or a decoration for a wedding or birthday, cork letters are a great choice—and a fun DIY project! We cut 30-40 cm high letters out of thick cardboard, then used a glue gun to attach the corks upright, one by one. For our wedding, we made a "BAR" sign for the counter, but you can create names or any other words, too!

Just keep in mind that the bottom of the letters should be flat and wide enough so they stand properly—an "A" is easy, but a "J" or "I" can be tricky! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to share more tips! 😊
