Match The Wine is the result of extensive brainstorming and planning centered around wines. I am Dani Terjéki, and for over a decade, I have been deeply interested in the world of wines. This interest first became a hobby and later clearly transformed into a passion.

In 2021, I attended my first official wine education course at the Central European Wine Institute (CEWI) in Budapest. CEWI offers foundational wine knowledge courses for both industry professionals and wine enthusiasts.

After participating in hundreds of domestic and international wine tastings and wine-related events, I felt it was worthwhile to organize and further expand my knowledge. My thirst for wine-related knowledge has not diminished; thus, in January 2023, I successfully completed the highest international wine qualification currently available in Hungary, the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 Award in Wines. This qualification provides a detailed understanding of grape growing and winemaking, enabling individuals to assess wines accurately and explain wine style and quality confidently.

I have been completely captivated by the wonderful world of wine and continuously come up with ideas on how to share my enthusiasm and extensive wine-related knowledge and discoveries with a broader audience.

I have often felt this around people I know that only a small assistance is needed for someone to find the wine that suits their taste. Let's admit, it is often challenging to navigate which wine might be the appropriate gift or which one we would enjoy at home or in a larger gathering. Drawing inspiration from this, the idea for the business came about, with which I would like to help everyone find the most suitable wine for them. In the consultation, thousands of tasted wines and my extensive personal experience will assist me. I have, of course, visited all 22 wine regions in Hungary, and in addition, I have been fortunate to participate in many adventures related to famous or lesser-known European and New World wines. I would like to share this with you.

I am fascinated by how nature and climate significantly influence the character of wines. How wines can be produced in such special locations and regions with incredible geographical features. How human expertise and experience create stories told in wines through collaboration with nature. I would like to bring this wonderful world closer to you, among other things, such as vineyard reservations.

At the moment, I am handling the day-to-day operations of Match the Wine, but Zorka's role is also very important. She has been involved from the very beginning, contributing ideas and supporting the company's operations. Her experience and advice play a key role in helping us continually grow and bring new ideas to life.
