The Farkastető Chardonnay is a true expression of this extraordinary terroir, offering a balance of vibrant acidity, rich tropical fruit notes, and a refined minerality.

Every step of the winemaking process, from hand-harvesting to careful aging, is designed to showcase the character of this vineyard. The result is a Chardonnay that embodies both elegance and complexity, reflecting the Istvándy family's commitment to craftsmanship, tradition, and innovation.

Istvándy Jenő Winery is a family-owned winery located in Szentbékkálla, in the heart of the Káli Basin in the Balaton Uplands.

The winery's home is the Istvándy House, built in 1825, a well-known historic monument of the region, recognized for its characteristic gable decoration. The house has been passed down through generations and remains in the Istvándy family's ownership today.

The winery cultivates 5 hectares of vineyards on Mátés Hill and Farkastető near Szentbékkálla, where some vines are over 40 years old. A replanting program ensures premium-quality grape production for the future.

Istvándy Jenő Winery specializes exclusively in white wines, offering distinctive blends and single-vineyard varietal wines that highlight the unique combination of limestone-volcanic soil and microclimate. Two of their most iconic blends are Kála and Parfym, crafted from carefully selected micro-batches of each vintage, reflecting both the characteristics of the year and the winery's signature style.

The entire winemaking process, including bottling, is carried out by hand, ensuring meticulous attention to detail for every bottle. Visitors can tour the winery by prior appointment, with group visits also welcomed.

Istvándy Jenő Winery is committed to both tradition and innovation, striving to capture the unique character and rich history of the Balaton Uplands in every bottle.
