Discover the crown jewel of Tokaj in every sip of Sauska Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos 2019 – a rich, complex, and elegant dessert wine crafted from Furmint, Hárslevelű, and Yellow Muscat grapes, hand-harvested from the region’s finest vineyards: Medve, Úrágya, and Birsalmás.

The nose reveals notes of white nougat, lemongrass panna cotta, candied ginger, and dried mango. On the palate, a remarkable 208 g/l residual sugar is perfectly balanced by vibrant acidity, creating a harmonious and refined wine. The finish is long, with a gentle ginger-spice nuance. This wine has the potential to evolve beautifully over the next 30 years, making it ideal for special occasions and long-term cellaring.

The 2019 vintage featured a cool spring and variable summer conditions, which reduced yields, but the autumn provided ideal weather for the development of Botrytis cinerea (noble rot) on the grapes.

The aszú berries were hand-picked with meticulous selection. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in 225-liter oak barrels, 10% of which were new. Combined with its 208 g/l residual sugar, lively acidity, and barrel aromatics, the wine presents a rich yet harmonious character.
