The Labirintus Egri Bikavér Superior 2022 from Gál Tibor Winery is a premium Egri Bikavér that combines the classic tradition of the region with modern winemaking precision. This medium-bodied red wine showcases ripe red and black berries – strawberry, blackberry, and sloe – complemented by subtle spice and well-integrated tannins.

The “Superior” designation reflects the carefully selected grapes, oak barrel aging, and the wine’s complex structure suitable for extended aging. The blend is anchored by Kékfrankos, complemented by Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Kadarka, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, each contributing its distinct character and expressing the terroir of Eger. The result is a rich, elegant wine with vibrant acidity, harmonious tannins, and a long, satisfying finish.

The grapes for the Labirintus Egri Bikavér Superior 2022 were vinified separately by variety to preserve their individual character. The blend is anchored by Kékfrankos, complemented by Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Kadarka, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. After fermentation, the wines were aged in selected oak barrels for 12 months, allowing both the varietal expression and the terroir’s mineral nuances to develop fully. The “Superior” designation reflects the careful grape selection, barrel maturation, and the resulting complex structure, producing a wine that is elegant, rich, and enjoyable both young and after a few years of aging.
