With its deep ruby color, the wine exudes intense aromas of ripe blackberry, blueberry, plum jam, and wild strawberry, beautifully complemented by subtle hints of vanilla, dark chocolate, sloe, and coffee from careful oak aging. The palate is full-bodied yet refined, with well-integrated acidity, silky tannins, and a perfectly balanced structure that leads to a long, complex finish with a touch of New World sophistication.

Aged for 23 months in Hungarian, French, and American oak barrels, this wine has outstanding aging potential, allowing it to develop further elegance over time.

Crafted with a deep respect for nature, the Villányi Franc 2019 is made from organically cultivated grapes, grown without chemical treatments to ensure the purest expression of terroir. Hand-harvested at optimal ripeness, only the finest bunches are selected to create this exceptional wine.

Following a 9-day maceration and direct pressing, fermentation takes place under controlled conditions, allowing for maximum color and tannin extraction while preserving the fruit’s natural vibrancy. The wine is then aged for 23 months in 225-liter oak barrels, using a mix of first-fill Hungarian, French “Bordeaux-style,” and American oak, which contributes layers of depth and complexity. During this time, it undergoes sur lie aging with battonage (lees stirring), further enhancing its texture and mouthfeel.

With no heavy filtration, the result is a structured yet velvety Cabernet Franc, offering a perfect harmony of fruit, spice, and oak influences. This wine has outstanding aging potential, promising to evolve beautifully in the bottle for years to come.
