A premium dry Riesling from one of Mosel’s most prestigious vineyard sites, this wine is an elegant expression of terroir.  The Fritz Haag Juffer Riesling Trocken GG 2021 presents a pale golden color. On the nose, it offers aromas of ripe apple, citrus zest, and a hint of white peach, complemented by delicate floral notes. The palate is crisp and elegant, with flavors of green apple, lime, and a touch of minerality, leading to a long, refreshing finish. The wine's balanced acidity and subtle complexity make it a standout example of Mosel Riesling. It has an excellent aging potential.

The grapes for this wine are sourced from the Brauneberger Juffer vineyard, situated on the steep slopes of the Brauneberg hillside. This vineyard is renowned for its deep slate soils, which impart a distinctive minerality to the wine. The south-facing slopes ensure optimal sun exposure, allowing the Riesling grapes to achieve full ripeness while retaining their natural acidity.

In the 2021 vintage, the Riesling grapes were harvested manually to ensure only the best bunches were selected. The must underwent fermentation in a combination of traditional large oak casks (Fuder) and stainless steel tanks, a method that balances the preservation of fresh fruit flavors with the integration of subtle oak nuances. The wine was aged on its lees for several months, enhancing its texture and complexity

Pan-seared scallops with citrus beurre blanc – The wine’s minerality and acidity balance the richness of the dish.

White asparagus with hollandaise sauce – A classic German pairing that enhances the wine’s elegance.

Grilled sea bass with fresh herbs – The wine’s bright citrus notes complement the delicate fish.

Aged Comté or Gruyère cheese – The nutty and savory flavors match the wine’s complexity.

Peking duck with hoisin sauce – The wine’s acidity cuts through the richness of the dish.
