Hungarian Syrah vs. South African Shiraz

Hungarian Syrah vs. South African Shiraz
Explore how a single grape variety can tell two completely different stories! In this exciting wine package, a Hungarian and a South African wine meet.
Sauska Syrah 2022 and Simonsig Mr. Borio’s Shiraz 2020. Two continents, two styles, two worlds, and one unforgettable tasting experience.
The Sauska – Syrah 2022 was crafted from grapes grown on the cooler slopes of the Csukma vineyard in Siklós, in the iconic Villány region of Hungary. The 2022 vintage brings freshness and vibrant aromas: red currant, pomegranate, and a hint of cocoa powder invite you in from the glass. On the palate, cool elegance, ripe blueberries, and silky tannins emerge, all beautifully complemented by a subtle touch of oak aging. This Syrah is simultaneously serious, fruity, and incredibly easy to drink.
The Simonsig – Mr. Borio’s Shiraz 2020 comes from the sun-drenched Stellenbosch region, showcasing the rich heritage and excellent conditions of the Simonsig winery. With its deep purple color and rich aromas of roasted wood, blackberries, and violets, it immediately captivates the senses. The palate is full, dense, and velvety, with a long and elegant finish. This Shiraz is crafted in a modern style, yet retains the vibrant character typical of South African wines.
Taste them side by side and discover the differences, or gift them to someone who truly appreciates the diversity of wines!
