Terrecarsiche Fanova Primitivo Gioia del Colle DOC (2022) is a distinctive Southern Italian red wine that showcases the more refined, terroir-driven expression of the Primitivo grape. Sourced from the limestone-rich soils of Gioia del Colle in Puglia, this wine offers a more elegant and structured style compared to the often richer, jammy versions of Primitivo.

On the nose, it reveals an intense and complex aromatic profile with ripe black cherry, plum, and dark forest fruits, complemented by subtle spicy notes, cocoa, tobacco, and hints of vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet balanced, with velvety tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, layered finish. This is a powerful yet sophisticated Primitivo red wine, ideal for those seeking depth, structure, and elegance.

Fanova Primitivo is made from carefully selected Primitivo grapes harvested from low-yield vineyards in the elevated, limestone-rich areas of Gioia del Colle. The grapes are picked at optimal ripeness to preserve both their intense fruit character and natural acidity.

Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing precise extraction and preservation of aromas. The wine is then partially aged in oak barrels, where it develops additional complexity, gaining subtle notes of spice, vanilla, and cocoa while softening its structure.

The goal of the winemaking process is to create an elegant, terroir-driven Primitivo wine that balances ripe fruit intensity with refined oak influence and freshness.
