Weingut Leitz - EINS-ZWEI-DRY Riesling 2025 represents the modern, elegant, and classic signature of Germany’s legendary Rheingau region. Renowned winemaker Johannes Leitz has mastered the art of crafted Riesling—with the iconic "EINS-ZWEI-DRY" series offering a witty play on counting in German while guaranteeing a razor-sharp, bone-dry profile.

The grapes are grown in the iconic, south-facing vineyards of the Rheingau, where the vines draw sustenance from quartzite, slate, and loess-rich soils. The slate and quartzite deposit deep minerality and a saline finish into the wine, while loess contributes rich fruit intensity and mid-palate structure. The heat-regulating presence of the Rhine River coupled with optimal sun exposure ensures perfect phenolic ripeness while retaining the grape's signature vibrant acidity.

In the glass, it displays a brilliant pale straw color with lively green hues. The nose opens with an expressive bouquet of crisp green apple, citrus peel, white peach, and subtle herbal notes, grounded by a distinct wet-stone minerality. On the palate, it is bone-dry, focused, and energetic; zesty flavours of lime, grapefruit, and tart apple are framed by a clean, salty mineral finish and a vibrant backbone of acidity.

At Weingut Leitz, the winemaking philosophy focuses on purity, precision, and terroir expression:

Gentle Processing: Carefully selected grapes undergo immediate, gentle pressing upon arrival at the winery to retain maximum fruit integrity.

Temperature-Controlled Fermentation: Fermentation takes place at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks under reductive conditions, locking in primary fruit aromas and aromatic purity.

Fine Lees Aging: Following fermentation, the wine rests on its fine lees (sur lie) to build subtle roundness and palate texture without compromising its crisp character.

Pan-Seared Trout or Pike-Perch with Lemon Butter: The wine's crisp acidity cuts through the richness of the butter and fish effortlessly.

Classic Wiener Schnitzel: The bright acidity provides a palate-cleansing contrast to the golden, crispy breading.

Fresh Sushi & Sashimi: The wine's purity and minerality complement raw fish and soy notes wonderfully.

Stir-Fried Asian Vegetables & Light Dim Sum: Crisp fruitiness matches aromatic, lightly spiced Asian dishes seamlessly.

Fresh Goat Cheese & Young Gouda: The creamy richness of the cheese balances the wine's zesty citrus drive.
