íSauska Late Harvest Cuvée 2023 is a refined, gently sweet expression of Tokaj’s late-season harvest, crafted from 67% Furmint, 28% Hárslevelű, and 5% Muscat Blanc. Hand-picked at optimal ripeness, the grapes capture the essence of a long, balanced autumn—warm days, cool nights, and naturally concentrated fruit.

The wine opens with aromas of apricot, mango, peach, and citrus blossom, complemented by the delicate floral notes of Muscat. On the palate, it is silky and harmonious, its sweetness lifted by Furmint’s vibrant acidity and the aromatic elegance of Hárslevelű. Graceful, pure, and finely textured, this cuvée offers a versatile and captivating sweet-wine experience, equally suited to desserts, soft cheeses, or contemplative solo enjoyment.

Crafted with patience and precision, the 2023 Late Harvest Cuvée began with multiple hand-harvest passes through Sauska’s Tokaj vineyards, selecting only the ripest, naturally concentrated grapes. The clusters—some gently botrytized, others simply sun-shrunk and aromatic—were brought to the cellar in small crates to preserve their texture and fragrance.

After a slow, delicate pressing, the must settled naturally before entering a cool, unhurried fermentation in stainless steel. This gentle approach allowed the wine’s purity to shine: the floral touch of Muscat, the stone-fruit depth of Hárslevelű, and the bright, spine-tingling acidity of Furmint. Once fermentation reached the perfect point of balance between sweetness and freshness, the wine was chilled to preserve its natural residual sugar, then clarified and bottled with the elegance and transparency typical of Sauska’s Tokaj style.
