The Tánczos Pince Kékfrankos Válogatás (Selection) 2022 is a refined and vibrant red, showcasing the exceptional terroir of Zánka. The wine is rich in red fruit aromas, with ripe cherries and blackberries, alongside a delicate peppery spice that adds complexity. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, with a lively acidity and smooth tannins, culminating in a fresh and satisfying finish. It’s a true representation of the Kékfrankos grape, combining fruit-forward flavors with elegant structure.

The journey of this wine begins in 2017 when the first vines of Kékfrankos were planted at Tánczos Pince. By 2019, the first harvest was taken from these young vineyards. In 2022 the healthy, fully ripe grapes were hand-harvested, destemmed, and crushed, before undergoing fermentation in open vats. After 25 days of fermentation, the wine was pressed, resulting in a balanced and expressive wine with medium body, vibrant fruit, and lively acidity.

This wine was aged in oak barrels, where it developed further complexity and finesse. Bottled in 2023, the Tánczos Pince 2022 Kékfrankos Válogatás perfectly embodies the youthful energy and potential of this vineyard, offering a wine that’s ready to be enjoyed now but will also evolve beautifully with time.
