The whole Match the Wine concept is the result of a long brainstorming process and countless amazing wine-related experiences. We want to share this with you and offer a little guidance on how we came up with the different categories to help you choose the perfect wine.

I’ve often felt that a little help when selecting wine can make a huge difference. Whether it’s convincing a friend at a restaurant to try something different from their usual Irsai Olivér, or recommending a bottle while standing in front of a store shelf based on the occasion or our mood—choosing the right wine can be tricky. Many people get lost in analyzing labels or don’t even know where to start. What’s the difference between ten different Olaszrizling wines? Most of the time, the answer is—a lot! Even wines made from the same grape variety can have completely different characters. Take Olaszrizling, for example—it can range from a light, refreshing summer wine to a full-bodied, aged, and complex sipping experience.

I’ve had the chance to taste thousands of wines, visit all of Hungary’s historic wine regions, and explore many famous international wine areas as well. I’d love to share this experience with you so that you can enjoy or gift wines that are the perfect match.
